About

My writing has been published in the Malahat Review, the Antigonish Review, carte blancheHamilton Arts & Letters and elsewhere. My story “Body of Water” won Honourable Mention in Prairie Fire‘s 2018 Fiction contest and will appear in their summer 2019 issue. Another story, “Foreign Bodies,” won the Malahat Review‘s 2017 Open Season Award and was their nominee for the 2018 Journey Prize. My story “Tag” was long-listed for Room Magazine’s 2018 Fiction Contest.

I completed the Humber School for Writers correspondence program in 2011 under the mentorship of John Metcalf and was awarded a Quebec Writers’ Federation mentorship in 2016.

I hold a B.A. in French from Trent University, a B.Ed. from Queen’s and an M.A. in French literature from Dalhousie. After more than a decade teaching elementary and high school, I made the transition to writing full time. I am currently working on a novel set in my hometown of Guelph, Ontario.
